The following post features student writing.
After a long week of birthdays, teaching, and construction, the students took a day off to explore the close-by town of Nadal. Upon arrival, half of the students set off on a scavenger hunt through the town, while the other half took a pottery class with some local artisans.
Following an eventful morning, the group explored a local temple, which was followed by a delicious roadside lunch. The students then swapped activities, and everyone got a chance to make some pottery, as well as use their knowledge of Hindi at some local bakeries and shops.
After a rewarding day, we arrived back at Kotri Village where we enjoyed some afternoon chai, followed by a hike to a temple on a nearby mountain. We wrapped up the day with a beautiful view of the sunset.
